Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Mahal Sarouk wool area rug. This circa 1940s rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, indigo, ivory, sky blue, rose, and wheat. The crimson colored field begins with a large floral themed diamond pendant medallion, and features large palmettes, scrolling floral sprays and leaves, along with flowering branches throughout. Framing the field is a stylized herati pattern, and a pair of carnation meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
