Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Kashan Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of silver, saffron, ivory, sky blue, charcoal, indigo, olive, mocha, teal, and carnation. The silver colored field begins with a large floral themed medallion, and features an all-over pattern of scrolling leaves with latticed vines of palmettes and floral motifs. The flower theme follows to the stylized herati patterned main border, as well as to the multiple floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled to the underside.
