Circa 1950s Handwoven Turkish Kilim
Item Details
A circa 1950s Turkish kilim. This wool long rug is rendered in a palette of orange, mocha, black, heather, gray and slate blue. It features an infinity pattern incorporating three sets of concentric stepped diamonds, bracketed on each side by partial diamonds. Framing the field are compound borders in black, ivory and shades of orange. Selvedges are multiple overcast, the rug finishing at each end with braided warp fringe in browns and orange. The rug is unlabeled.
