Ellmore Silver Co. Sterling Bowl and Weighted Egg-and-Dart Rim Sterling Compote
Item Details
A selection of sterling tableware. Included is a sterling bowl featuring a repoussé gadrooned rim and two beaded bands around the inner edge by Ellmore Silver Co. of Meriden, Connecticut (active 1935 – 1960). The underside of the bowl is stamped with the Ellmore Silver Co. maker’s mark, along with ‘Sterling 1300’ and the approximate sterling weight of the bowl is 2.130 ozt. The bowl is presented with a weighted sterling compote dish features a repoussé egg-and-dart rim and a bulb stem on a round, stepped base. The underside of the base is stamped, ‘Sterling Reinforced with Cement’.
Condition
- some surface wear including light scuffs, scratches, and faint tarnish.
