Vintage Tin Litho Toys Including Linemar Jalopy
Item Details
A collection of three vintage metal toys. This collection features a battery-operated tin litho toy jalopy by Linemar toys, the Japanese-manufactured division of Louis Marx and Company; this old-fashioned convertible coupe with the top down has a red body marked all over with slogans like ‘Hit Me Easy’, ‘23 Skidoo’ and ‘If You Can Read This You Are Too Darn Close’. Also included is a wind-up tin litho penguin by J. Chein & Co., as well as a blue and white pressed metal car with no apparent maker’s marks.
Condition
- penguin partially functional when tested; jalopy missing controller and wire; scuffing, discoloration and marks; dents and warping of metal; general wear.
