1883 Gilbert Mantle Clock
Item Details
A Gilbert Eastlake style mantel clock. Clock is designed jet ebonized finish with arched sun to top with carved and arched sides with floral medallions to bottom. Single arched door with carved detail and a stunning design of a spider and web to glass front door. Pedestal base has detailed corner caps. Open glass door to access dial with Roman numeral hour markers and pierced black metal hands, seated in a brass frame. Ornate brass pendulum with leaves to top of a round numbered pendulum, dated to back ‘Oct. 30, 1883’.
