Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Mural Panels

A group of two wood panels with laminate abstract design to front, designed by Eva Maddox. The panels were originally part of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center wall mural. The panels are brightly colored in hues of blue, brown, and purple, with one panel having a piece of a zebras nose and the upper part of a land creature.

In 1993, location B of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center opened with art designed by Eva Maddox. Ms. Maddox was based in Chicago but was a graduate of DAAP at the University of Cincinnati. The theme of the art was environments and each floor had a level that pertained – the seas, the plains, the mountains. There was an extensive, vibrant mural on B-1 that introduced the theme. These panels are from the introduction mural.
