Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Karaja Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Karaja carpet runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, ecru , moss green, navy, aqua, coral-pink, black , and gray. It has seven medallions alternating between cruciform and hexagonal shapes, with designs of hooked arms throughout. The field is patterned with lobbed flower rosettes, palmettes and various symbolic shapes. It is framed by sawtooth and carnation meander borders. Finished with striped overcast selvedges and short fringe to either end. Unlabeled.
