Hand-Knotted Northwest Persian Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Northwest Persian wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, indigo, rose, azure, ivory, and ochre. The cranberry colored field features five large lobed medallions in a floral theme, which follows to the rest of the field with rosettes and flowering branches. Framing the field is a main oak leaf and blossom meander border, along with a Hamadan guard border, and a sawtooth pattern. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
