Hand-Knotted Central Asian Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted central Asian carpet runner. This Kazak-style wool rug is rendered in a purposefully abrashed palette of strawberry, camel, sapphire, pink and black. It features an infinity pattern beginning with three hexagonal medallions, each enclosing a soft memling motif. The medallions rest on a strawberry field flanked by partial stepped diamond medallions. Framing the field is a Hamadan meander border over sapphire. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with variegated gray cotton warp fringe. Unlabeled.
