Hand-Knotted Persian Karaja Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Karaja wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of cranberry, ivory, madder red, charcoal, ochre, and ice blue. The cranberry colored field begins seven medallions in varying colors, sizes, and shapes, and features flowering branches, and animal motifs. Framing the field is a unique design with tree of life motifs, flowers, and branched elements to the main border, along with a chained minor border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short ivory warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
