Commemorative First Lady Presidential Library Mugs
Item Details
A selection of ceramic and glass mugs commemorating various presidential libraries. Included is a green glass mug decorated with a gilt bust of Eleanor Roosevelt, inscribed: ‘Franklin D. Roosevelt Library, Hyde Park, New York.’ It bears an illegible quote to the verso. A milk glass mug by Anchor Hocking is also included, commemorating Mamie Doud Eisenhower and her Birthplace Museum Library in Boone, Iowa. Also included is a porcelain mug with a lightly-molded body, decorated with a portrait of Ida Saxton McKinley, marked with a label to the base, from her Canton, Ohio house museum. A fourth mug commemorates the U.S. Senate campaign of Hillary Rodham Clinton, marked with a Flint Glass Workers Union Label.
