Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Baluch wool area rug. This rug offers an all-over pattern of boxed diamond motifs to the field worked in a palette of cinnmon, mauve, fern, rose, black and white. Framing the field are diamond lattice, diamond motif and sawtooth borders with panels to the short ends featuring combed devices. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with warp fringe at each end. Labeled with a tag to the verso indicating country of origin.
