Hand-Knotted Central Asian Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Central Asian accent rug. This nearly square wool mini-rug has been woven in abrashed shades of indigo, peach, ivory, pink, scarlet, pine, black, charcoal, and wine. It begins with an off-center, irregularly shaped cartouche grounded in cream and filled with palmettes and geometric motifs resembling a cityscape. The cartouche rests on an open garnet field framed by a multicolored key-design. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing at each end with wool and goat hair warp fringe. Unlabeled.
