An Ansonia mantel clock. A Victorian clock with a hand-painted, gilded floral design on a wood and cast iron case with a black enamel finish. The clock features a brass bezel with a decorative, molded design surrounding a white metal face with black Roman numerals and two brass key arbors. The black hands are displayed on an inset center with brass gears and a brass ring frame. Other features of the clock include an eight-day time and strike movement, a winding key and the clock stands on a plinth style base with gilded trim. The clock is labeled ‘Ansonia’ on the verso.
