An antique Ansonia Belgium mantel clock. The clock has a cast iron and enameled case that has a black finish and features a Neoclassical design with metal figural side handles and hand-painted gilded trim throughout. Other features of the clock include a glass cover and brass bezel with egg and dart molding displaying a white porcelain face with black Roman numerals, two brass key arbors and black hands set in a brass center ring. The clock features an eight day time and strike movement and stands on an embossed plinth style base. The clock is labeled ‘Ansonia Clock Co.’ on the face.
