Item Details
An antique Victorian Eastlake cast iron and wood wall shelf with ceramic plaques, circa late 19th century. The shelf features a rectangular, wooden top above a cast iron backplate flanked by a pair of corbels. The backplate is painted with a gilt, geometric banner while the corbels are inset with glazed portrait plaques depicting a young boy and girl. There are no maker’s marks and the verso is fitted with a cleat for hanging.
