Item Details
A handwoven area kilim. This colorful wool rug is rendered in a palette of rose, ivory, tangerine, blush, tangerine, plum, cream, powder blue and caramel. It begins with a grid of rectangular panels, each containing a diamond medallion over one of the colors of the palette. Framing the field are compound geometric borders and crenelated divider strips including sawtooth and soldier patterns. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with ivory wool warp fringe. Unlabeled.
