An oil painting on canvas by American artist Magnus Engstrom (b. 1936). This abstract work depicts a central, cream-colored form that vaguely resembles a reclining figure in a ground of fuzzy rectangles in black and teal. The piece is rendered in a textural, dry-brushed surface that is signed in paint to the lower left. It is presented float-mounted in a gold tone wood frame with a saw-tooth bracket to the verso for hanging.
