A 1962 oil painting on academy board of an abstract composition by artist George Bertuccelli. This Expressionist style painting depicts a dark pooling of pigment, which occasionally bubbles and crystallizes throughout. To the lower right corner is a dated artist signature. The painting is presented in a stained and gold tone wooden frame featuring a linen liner with a sawtooth bracket to the verso for hanging.

George Bertuccelli was a San Francisco artist known for his spontaneous abstract expressionist compositions. The height of his career was in the Bay Area in the 1960s when he painted at The Pomegranate studio.
