Two Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Mural Panels

A group of two wood panels with laminate abstract design to front, designed by Eva Maddox. The panels were originally part of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center wall mural. Colourful pieces of square form, the pieces included are from the underwater mural and include fish and a 3-D creature suspended on coil springs.

In 1993, location B of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center opened with art designed by Eva Maddox. Ms. Maddox was based in Chicago but was a graduate of DAAP at the University of Cincinnati. The theme of the art was environments and each floor had a level that pertained – the seas, the plains, the mountains. There was an extensive, vibrant mural on B-1 that introduced the theme. These panels are from the introduction mural.

Condition

- various. The suspended creature has laminate surface loss and requires attention.

Dimensions

- measurement for shipping. Each panel measures 24" Sq. The 3-D panel is 6" deep.
