A signed, limited edition offset lithograph print titled Bengal Tiger after an original painting by well-listed American wildlife illustrator and naturalist John A. Ruthven (Cincinnati, born 1924). The print depicts a detailed rendering of a tiger in mid-stride. It is signed within the plate as well as in pencil to the lower right side. It is numbered 4136 out of an edition of 5000 to the lower left corner and the title is printed to the lower center. The work is presented behind a white mat, under glass, in a dark stained wood frame, and is ready to hang with a wire. A printed sheet with factual information about Bengal Tigers and biographical information about the artist is attached to the verso.

Ruthven (1927), born in Cincinnati, studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy and became referred to as “the 20th century Audubon” due to the fact that he researched his subject thoroughly then masterfully depicted wildlife in great and exact detail.
