An assortment of vintage anti-Franklin D. Roosevelt conspiracy books and campaign buttons against his wife and sons. The selection includes two conspiratory-theory books written after President Roosevelt’s 1945 death in offices, a paperback book F.D.R. My Exploited Father-In-Law by Curtis B. Dall and a paperback book The Strange Death of Franklin D. Roosevelt by Emanuel M. Josephson. Also included are four pinback political buttons from FDR’s controversial 1940 campaign for an unprecedented third term as president. These campaign buttons target the social activism of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt with, “We Don’t Want Eleanor Either!”, and charges that his son Elliott was given the rank of Army captain and his son James profited in insurance by using their presidential connection with “Papa I Don’t Want to Resign’, “I Don’t want Elliott as My Captain,” and “No Insurance For Jimmy.”
