Hand-Knotted Bokhara Multicolored Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Bokhara accent rug. This wool rug features a vertical row of five Turkmen-style medallions, each resting on a lozenge grounded in cream, crimson, apricot or azure, flanked by partial medallions. Framing the field are compound geometric borders, including horizontal diamond-lattice elem panels above and below the field. The palette is mauve, azure, apricot, crimson, cream, ivory, tangerine and black. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with long wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.

- to fair; repairs at one corner include wrapping of selvege cord in fabric and application of fringe at the corner (most of the fringe is original to the weave).
