Item Details
A hand-knotted Bakhtiari wool mat. This wool mat is rendered in a palette of scarlet, apricot, azure, tangerine, celadon, ivory and black. It features an asymmetrical medallion grounded in apricot and seeded with a cruciform shape in tangerine as well as celadon quatrefoil motifs. The medallion rests on a crimson and azure field, which is framed by compound borders featuring geometric and floral patterns. Selvedges are overcast; ends finish with ivory wool warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
