A twenty-nine piece collection of sterling silver flatware by Towle Silversmiths. This is in the John O. Van Koert designed Southwind pattern, first introduced in 1952, which features a curved handle with scrolled detailing. The collection includes seven place spoons, a teaspoon, a bon bon spoon, a jelly server, a sugar spoon, a ladle, six salad forks, and five dinner forks, all marked ‘Towle Sterling’ and ‘Southwind’ to the backs. They are presented with three dinner knives and three butter spreaders that have stainless blades and sterling hollow handles. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives and butter spreaders with stainless blades, is 31.185 ozt.
