Collection of Circa 1940s Silver Plate and Brass Office Décor
Item Details
A collection of vintage office décor, dating circa 1940s. This assortment is comprised of eleven items, including a brass camel-shaped ashtray embossed, ‘Strait Scales, June 1924’, a souvenir New York City silver tone ashtray featuring a scrolled rim, a souvenir Mexican centavos coins ashtray, a brass letter holder with a scrolled motif and footed base, and a small German brass stamp box with four divided sections on the interior. The lot also includes an Egyptian inspired brass scarab paperweight featuring hieroglyphics on the undersides, a silver plate Claridge’s Hotel of England ashtray by Elkington, an International Silver Co. silver plate bon bon bowl in the Lovelace pattern, featuring a pierced scrolled foliage pattern, and three desk calendars. The three calendars include a ‘Slydit’ fifty-year marked, ‘The John Van Range Company, Cincinnati, Ohio’ on the base, and a Park Sherman Co. of Springfield, Ill.

- fair to good; surface wear throughout including scuffs and scratches; many items have corrosion or tarnish.
