A Chinese Chippendale style chest of drawers by Universal Furniture. This chest features a glass top protective panel on the amorphic top with beveled edges and rope trim border with serpentine facade. The chest features thirteen side by side drawers with decorative brass handles. The facade is flanked by blind fretwork stiles. This piece terminates on bracket feet with acanthus leaf carved embellishments. It is marked ‘Universal Furniture’ to a drawer interior.
