A Howard Miller grandfather clock. The clock has a traditional style with an oak Yorkshire finish on select hardwoods and veneers with a gently arched bonnet. The clock features reeded side columns with fretwork and glass side panels and an elongated glass front door. The door displays a polished brass face with a gold-tone center and a silver-tone chapter ring displaying raised gold-tone Arabic numbers highlighted with an etched floral design. The face is surrounded by brass spandrels with a moon phase clock above, that displays an etched clipper ship. Other features of the clock include a lyre style brass pendulum, brass weights, a chain driven Westminister chime Kieninger movement with chime silence options, quarterly strikes and counts on the hour, a winding key and the clock stands on a plinth style wood base. The clock is marked ‘Howard Miller’ on the face and side plaque.
