Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of an abstracted cityscape, dated to the mid 20th century. The work depicts a city skyline, as seen from a waterfront with a variety of commercial ships in the water. The palette-knife textures and blocks of color are reminiscent of Abstract Expressionism and other Modernist art movements. Presented in a gilt wood frame with a linen liner.
Condition
- minor scuffing to the finish on the frame; area s of wear and discoloration to the linen liner, concentrated along the left portion.
