An oil painting on canvas of an Eastern European landscape by artist A. Haldriin, dated February 1929. The work depicts a large provincial cottage in a snow-dusted landscape. The pink sharp light suggests a winter sunrise or sunset. To the lower right corner is the signature and date. To the verso is an inscription written by an unknown hand. The item is presented in a gilt wood frame.
Condition
- minor scuffing to the finish on the frame; discoloration to the canvas verso; smaller than dime-sized area of paint loss near the door of the building; small gap between the frame and the painting in the upper left corner.
