A selection of Bill Schiffer jewelry including two rings and three pair of earrings. The rings display band design, of which one has a hollow interior. There are two pair of ear wire earrings of which one pair presents a openwork quatrefoil geometric design and the other pair displays oval motifs with ridged design. There is one pair of post earrings presenting openwork elongated circle motifs with sporadic etch work.

Born in New York, Bill Schiffer rose to prominence as a painter and sculptor in the early 1980s. Though he still works in many two dimensional and three dimensional art mediums, Schiffer is most well known for his unique handcrafted jewelry, which he started designing after a foray experimenting with wearable art in the fashion scene. Bill Schiffer’s art and jewelry has been shown in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, as well as major museums in Italy, Japan, Germany and the United States. His work has been featured in publications including Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Women’s Wear Daily, Seventeen and Cosmopolitan.
