A pair of late 19th century full morocco leather ornately detailed with gilt edges Volumes I and II of Picturesque America . The books have both steel
and wood cut engravings. Edited by William Cullen Bryant and published in New York by D. Appleton & Co.. Volume I was published in 1872 and Volume II was published in 1874.

Condition

Overall in good shape consistent with age. Volume II has some leather loss on the spine and corners. The marble endpaper and title page section of Volume II has separated from the spine, but is still connected. Volume I has a small amount of leather loss with the first few pages separated but still connected to the spine .The title page forward in Volume I is still intact.
