Item Details
A hand-knotted Caucasian carpet runner. This wool carpet is rendered in a palette of madder red, ocher, cobalt, slate blue, white, and black. It features six alternating medallions in rhomboid shapes with curled hook trim and stretched floral shapes. Dotted throughout the field are rosettes, eight pointed stars, and cruciform shapes. It is framed with medahil guard borders and a carnation meander main border. Finished with two-tone overcast selvedges and fringe to either end.
