A hand-knotted Caucasian Kazak carper runner. This wool rug offers a pole of stepped medallions infilled with diamond shapes and serrated elements. More serrated leaves and diamond pendants flank each medallion along with bird motifs over an abrash cranberry field. The design is worked in black, ivory, sand and navy blue. Three meandering borders frame this rug featuring leaf and floral patterns. Selvedges are overcast in stripes, finishing with ivory warp fringe at each end. Unlabeled.
