Ollie M. Perry Mid-Century Oil Painting of Still Life with Chrystanthemums
Item Details
A mid-century oil painting on paperboard by listed California artist Ollie Montgomery Perry (1881 – 1964). The piece depicts a teal bowl filled with lush chrysanthemums in varying shades of pink and red, accented with greenery and small blue and pink flowers, set against a variegated brown background. The work is signed ‘O.M. Perry’ in red paint to the lower left. It is presented without glass in a wooden frame with gold tone accent, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- to fair; scuffing and media loss to painting at middle right and lower right; minor discoloration; nicks, scratches and edge wear to frame; no backing paper present.
