Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool room size rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of carnelian, indigo, ivory, ochre, azure, rose, and powder blue. The carnelian colored lozenged field features a large star shaped pendant medallion, and grounded in ivory. The field also features an abundance of geometrically shaped palmettes, floral, and foliate motifs throughout. Framing the field is a main samovar border, along with floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a newly applied ivory fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
