Cincinnati's "Big Pig Gig" Sitting Pig Sculpture

A ‘Big Pig Gig’ fiberglass sculpture, created for a public art exhibit on display in Cincinnati, Ohio. Created 2000. Titled ‘The Piggest Show on Earth’, designed by Ruth Levinson in aid of Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. The sitting sculpture is hand painted with a floral design to base, a clown style face and applied ceramic tumbling clowns to top.
‘The Big Pig Gig, a public art initiative, brought local artists, businesses, community and arts organizations, schools and individuals together in an unprecedented way to have fun and celebrate Cincinnatis Porkopolis past. More than 400 decorated life-size fiberglass pigs were placed in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington and Newport, Kentucky.’
