A watercolor painting on paper signed ‘P. v Dies.’ This painting depicts two sailboats met on a calm sea in the faint pink light of dusk. Other sailboats can be seen off in the distance, and the sky is vast and contains stacked white clouds. The piece is signed to the lower right and presented in a gold tone frame with grape vine molded ornamentation and a blue fabric liner. There is wire to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- mild to moderate discoloration to image and mat; small brown stain at upper left of image, and a few tiny dots on the mat; dust on blue velvet liner; minor wear to frame overall with missing gesso at bottom left.
