This pair includes Johnston’s Turner’s Chemisty; A manual of Chemistry textbook published in Philadelphia in 1857 with handwritten note on the inside page reading, ‘I & D Peck Cynthiana N Re Oxford O, October 20th, 1861. The other offered in this pairing is the ’Wells Principles and Applications of Chemistry for the Use of Academies, High-Schools and Colleges.’ This 5th Edition textbook was published in New York City by Ivison, Phinney and Company in 1860. Both books are hardbound with embossed front covers.
