An oil painting on wood of Notre Dame du Haut at Ronchamps designed by Le Corbusier. This Expressionist style painting depicts the church with an accompanying steeple segmented to the interior in overlapping square shapes. It is outlined with a gestural application of black pigment, surrounded by a cascading of rectangles, red stripes and a polygonal rendering of a parked car. To the lower right corner is an inscription which appears to read ‘Bent Zode’. To the verso is affixed hanging wire.

Condition

- image base wood is splitting, chipped; dirt and stains throughout the image area.
