A limited edition serigraph print on paper titled Man-Frog by listed British Columbia First Nations’ artist Harris Smith Lalkawilas (Canadian Kwakwaka’wakw, 1942 – 2005), created in 1985. The piece depicts the portrait of a Kwakwaka’wakw mask, rendered in stylized black, green and red patterns against a cream ground, reminiscent of the formline art styles found throughout indigenous Northwest Coast art. The work is titled, dated and signed “By Lalkawilas, Harris Smith” in pencil to the lower center and numbered as 102 out of an edition of 140. The print is presented under glass in a wooden frame with beaded accent, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
