A pair of watercolor paintings on paper by listed American artist Alice Stephenson Naylor (1892-1974). These pieces depict abstracted flowers in splatters and washes of color, the first of a red-petaled bloom in a field of green, and the second of a collection of red and yellow rose-like blossoms in blue. Both pieces are signed to the lower right and presented behind glass with white matting, and housed in wood frames finished with white and silver tone paint. There is wire to the versos for hanging.
Condition
- both frames show nicks, scratches and wear to edges; accretion under glass.
