Dik Browne "Hägar the Horrible" Sunday Comic

A Sunday edition of Dik Browne’s (1917-1989) comic strip Hägar the Horrible, and signed by the artist. This piece, dated ‘1978’ and ‘6-11,’ depicts the titular Hägar describing ‘a man’s destiny’ to his young son. It is rendered with soft colors and dark confident penwork, and is signed with a personal message partially reading ‘To John Shuttleworth – Who knows a few things about destiny himself’ to its lower edge. The piece is matted under glass in a black frame and includes a sawtooth bracket for hanging.
