An antique French portico style mantel clock. This brass case clock features beveled glass panes enclosed by fluted Corinthian style columns, and capped with a molded crown featuring an ornate baluster style gallery, all while rising on a plinth molded base with small bracket feet. The columns and glass house a white porcelain clock face set in a beaded brass bezel, and displays black Arabic numbers, two key arbors, ornate gold toned hands, along with floral swags, a chapter ring, and an elaborate central accent. This clock also features a pendulum constructed of two glass tubes filled with mercury, and supported by brass rods and brackets with lower finials. The clock mechanism is marked ‘Made in France’, along with ‘6464 6’, and also includes a key.
