A ceramic beer stein. This vessel features a pewter lid molded with a raised band of acanthus leaves, topped with a molded cannon finial and lion thumb lift. The body is decorated with reserves featuring the coats of arms of the Bavarian cities of Nuremberg, Würzburg, Augsburg, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, each framed by a raised scroll border. The stein is finished with gilt trim and is marked with a label to the base indicating production in Japan.
