Mitsuzo Shimizu Oil Painting on Canvas
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas by well-listed Japanese American artist Mitsuzo Shimizu (1905 – 1986). This landscape painting depicts a stormy ocean scene with crashing waves and a dark, cloudy sky. The painting is signed by hand to the lower left corner and is housed in a gold tone wooden frame with a linen liner. The frame features a metal plaque reading “Shimizu.”

-light edge wear to frame; UV light test reveals no in-painting.
