A vintage Hepplewhite style secretaire bookcase in mahogany, circa mid 20th century. It has a one-piece construction, with a hutch with glass paned double doors with geometric muntins and three adjustable/removable shelves. The front of the top “drawer” drops down to reveal an inset leather writing surface and a fitted interior with three small drawers and seven pigeon holes. Below are three lower drawers with machine-cut dovetail joints, inlaid fronts, and brass ring pulls. The piece rests on French bracket feet joined by a scalloped apron. There are no visible makers marks.
- light scratches and scuffs.
