Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Sarouk carpet runner. This Indian-made wool rug features a Persian Sarouk-inspired floral design in a palette of ivory, ruby, camel and cerulean. It begins with two diamond medallions grounded in ruby and embellished with strings of periwinkles. The medallions rest on an ivory field amid discrete clusters of flowers. Framing the field are four borders, including a main border grounded in ruby and filled with meandering palmettes, flowers and vines. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with decoratively knotted ivory wool warp fringe. The rug is labeled on the reverse.
