Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Pitcher

An antique porcelain pitcher. This item was painted by hand, likely by a woman, in the early twentieth century, as amateur china painting was a very popular and socially acceptable pastime for women during that period. This piece shows small blue flowers with yellow centers on a ground of periwinkle and lavender. No maker’s marks were noted.
